The Hotham Kids Snowzone is located at the Big D, and all children 14 and under begin their lessons there. To contact the Kids Snowzone call (03) 5759 4429 or e-mail kids@hotham.com.au.

It is without doubt the home of fun, adventure and excitement for kids! Children from as young as 3 can participate in group lessons, and the Snowzone features a huge variety of activities, including theme days, fun games and of course lots of snowplay!

Whether your child is a seasoned expert or has never seen snow before, we have a variety of specially tailored lessons and programs to get them out on the slopes in no time. The Snowzone is staffed by a range of qualified instructors that are dedicated to ensuring your kids have a great time on the gentle, undulating slopes of the Big D. Group participation is also encouraged, meaning that the Snowzone is the perfect place to make friends!

Hotham's Kids Snowzone is registered with the Department of Human Services.

Every child enrolled in a Kids Snowzone program gets access to FREE use of a helmet for the duration of their lesson.

Before your child comes to Snowzone each morning
• Your child should have sunscreen applied, be well hydrated, have had a nutritious breakfast and have been to the bathroom.
• Your child must be ready to ski or snowboard with equipment and appropriate clothing including gloves and a helmet.

Tips for MILO Kids Klub
• Arrive at the meeting area outside the Big D at 9am ready to ski or snowboard with equipment and appropriate clothing including gloves and a helmet.
Participants should line up at the appropriate level banner based on skills achieved in the past. If you are unsure ask an instructor.
• Participants in levels 1 (Koala), 2 (Platypus), 3 (Possum) and first day 4 (Cockatoo) will not require poles. To avoid loss or misplacement these should not be brought to the meeting area.
• Once your child is at the appropriate level banner and you have been greeted by the instructor it is best to clear the area to avoid congestion and allow the students to be placed in line and have their names recorded.
• The classes will leave the meeting area at 9:30am to commence the lesson by instructors assessing the students’ skill levels on the Big D. If arriving after this time please report to the supervisor. While every endeavour will be made to place your child in a class there may be times when it is too late to join in.
• The lesson finishes at 3:15pm (full day) and 12:15pm (half day) at the meeting area outside the Big D at which point a parent conference will take place with the instructor providing feedback on your child’s progress. Children will only be released when a
parent or designated adult signs them out.

 - Arrangements can be made with your child's instructor to meet at Hotham Central Bus Stop if their group has skied in that area. Please make all arrangements with your child's instructor.

Note: older participants may leave the area on their own only if permission is indicated on their registration tag. At the end of the day any participants who has not been picked
up by 3:30pm will be taken inside the Kids Snowzone, where it is warmer, to wait for parents.
